20. Brave and Cool
When it comes to cleaning up your closet and prepare for the fall, you know it can be a little confusing. September might have creeped in, but it’s still a little too warm to ditch all the summery and fluttery dresses you have. Then, forecast shows cold winds, and you immediately search for the coziest sweater ever.
Don’t worry, we’re here to help you get dressed for a walk in the park, for work, school, and so many other occasions. You’ll even see that you can keep some of the summer clothes if you add a few important layers!
And at last, you’ll also see the colors of this autumn.
Autumn’s here, but you don’t need to wear all of its colors to melt in the chocolatey décor. Use some strong colors with the warm ones to make you look less boring and super cool.
Up your game with a red coat or a plaid shirt, or go for a plaid skirt like this one, if you want to go for a classy look.
19. Hide the Sundresses?
As much as you love summer clothes, you know you’ll have to hide them until next year. Worry not, if it’s still warm outside, you can rock a summery outfit with jeans or knee-long boots!
Talking about boots, check out these babies that will take that fall outfit to the next level at #15!
18. A Flowery Fall
Keep a bohemian look with these beautiful pants, which assorted with either a see-through blouse or a warm sweater, will help you go through either a warm fall day or a cold one. Check out the next tip Seventeen offered for the 2018 fall.
17. The Cherry on the Pina Colada!
We told you! Don’t say goodbye to the summer yet. Take out your favorite summer dress and put a jacket over it to keep on rocking this autumn. And if you’re more of a jeans girl, match it with a t-shirt and a cardigan or with an awesome sweater and colored accessories.
Take out the beanie, cause it’s totally in…
16. Beanies!
We like beanies, and they’re amazing when wind tries to make you look like a real-life Medusa. You can rock them with a romantic look by adding a beautiful skirt and a cardigan or for a colder day, with ankle long boots, an oversized bag, and a coat.
15. Long Socks
It’s not yet cold enough for warm stockings, but you can totally go for knee-long boots and socks that playfully peek over. Combined with a long-sleeved mini dress and a warm scarf, you’ll be the queen of the fall!

14. The Classy Twist on Plaid
Either choosing a midi skirt or a pair of high-waisted plaid trousers with awesome heels, they’re both great ways to make you look perfect for a day out or for a day at work. Pair them with a black turtleneck or a cute camel blouse, and you’ll look perfect.
Talking about perfect, here’s the perfect definition of layering.
13. Cozy Sweaters
You know you couldn’t wait for the fall to start so you could take out your favorite sweater and use it with all your other clothes! And you can do it! Fall is perfect to start layering your clothes and keep on hanging to your favorite sheer blouses too.
Pair them with a chemise for a cute and casual look.
12. Again… Plaid!
We cannot get enough of this print, so we’re going to add two more tips. Wear the same jeans and boots with a different top, highlighted with an interesting pattern. You can choose an oversized blouse or a tight jacket and a big scarf to complete your fall outfit.
Here’s our next obsession: Stripes!
11. Not Ready To Ditch Summer
For those that won’t ditch summer, take out your favorite midi dress and layer over it a blouse or a t-shirt and a leather jacket. You’ll rock and roll your way through the breezy fall!
And if you have a pretty dress, add a cardigan… or go again classy9.
10. Play With Colors
We love the romantic and playful twist in the right: blue dress, which totally works with those pretty shoes and cute fringed socks. Plus, the cardigan is perfect, adding the right amount of color and complimenting the bag. The same goes for the casual look on the left, with the colored shirt that brings the outfit to life.
9. Scarves and Class
No matter the occasion, a proper scarf can make you look fashionable. It can be an oversized one, which complements the white dress on the left or it can work as a piece of jewelry like the one on the right. Either way, they both complete the outfits. Take them off, and you’ll see something’s missing!
8. Black and White
If you’re more of a black and white kind of person, then add a colored necklace or choose a camel bag to make your outfit more “autumny.” If you don’t have any of these, choose a colored jacket like this one from #4.
7. Denim With Style
If you love jeans, get a jacket and combine it with a white blouse and black pants. Or you can go for denim ripped jeans, a flowery blouse and a leather jacket – all perfect for a windy day.

6. Chocolate, Coffee, and Cinnamon
There’s nothing better than a cup of hot coffee on a cold autumn day. And if you’re going out to drink one with your friends, you can rock one of these outfits. Pair over-the-knee boots with a mini skirt or ankle boots with skinny jeans and oversized sweaters like the next one.
5. Sweaters… Again!
Turn your huge sweater into a dress and pair it with skinny jeans and matching boots. And if you thought we’d forget to mention stripes again, you’re wrong! High waist striped pants are cool and look great if you add… YES, a sweater!
4. Awesome Prints
Draw all the attention with awesome patterns which you can add to a simple outfit and turn it into a statement. Geometrical patterns are still in, and the color of the wine is perfect for the season – even better when paired with an actual glass of wine.
3. A Casual Fall Look
Wear a pair of jeans with a sweater that comes with interesting features like this one, the best casual look. Also, the color perfectly matches the season!
And talking about colors, here are the 2018 fall shades you should go for.
2. Milk Chocolate and Warm Mauve
Autumn calls for warm colors, so this autumn you’ll see a spike in browns like milk-chocolate.
Spring and summer have had their dusty pink, but fear not, autumn has a new obsession: warm mauve!
1. Pink Poppy and Rich Plum
It might look too over the top, but a little hint of poppy pink is great to change the monotony. Plus, it’s softer than fire-red and warmer than any other light tones.
Last but not least, the rich plum shade, the last Color of the Year recommended by Pantone, has blue undertones which makes you look brighter than ever!
