David & Victoria Beckham
The rich and famous are known to occasionally drop lavish amounts of money on houses, cars, fashion, jewelry, vacations, and more. Regardless of how they came to make their millions (if not billions), most aren’t afraid to flaunt their luxurious lifestyle to their fans and followers on social media, either.
One of the most symbolic indications of wealth is personal air travel. Flying commercial can be quite the unpleasant experience for exceptionally famous people, hence the desire to have their own private plane. Furthermore, having to adhere to flight schedules doesn’t work for some of the world’s richest and most important people. Whatever the reason or reasons to invest in a personal plane, some celebrities sure do travel the airways in style. These are the most famous and luxurious private planes owned by celebrities…
The Beckham’s have been together for more than 20 years now. They were all the rage back in the day when David was a star soccer player and Victoria was part of the Spice Girls. While they’re still in the spotlight, it isn’t nearly as bright anymore. They likely appreciate that, since they’re able to raise their four kids with at least a tiny bit of privacy.
Tiger Woods
The power couple went in on an $18 million private jet together. Their Bombardier Challenger 350 allows them to fly wherever they want, whenever they want. It seats up to ten, which is good for the size of their family, and has a range of nearly 3,700 miles before needing more fuel.
Woods is still the face of golf, even if he hasn’t been anywhere near as dominate as he was in his younger days. He’s tied for first in PGA Tour wins and is second in men’s major championships. He has managed to regain popularity in the sport even after some explosive revelations in his personal life.
Tom Cruise
His Gulfstream G550 jet cost him around $50 million. The jet has a built-in restroom, wardrobe and oval windows, among other features. It can fly over 12,000 kilometers before needing to stop for gas, which, in some cases, means traveling for more than 12 hours.
Cruise played the role of an elite fighter pilot in the classic movie Top Gun. It only makes sense that the super popular actor has a plane of his own. The film may have inspired him to have an interest in aviation and purchase a jet personally.
Tyler Perry
He has a private Gulfstream IV jet, which cost him $36 million. It seats two in the cockpit and also has room for 19 others. It’s equipped with state-of-the-art furnishings and aircraft technology, including two Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8 engines. Every two minutes, the jet automatically refreshes the air inside the cabin.
Perry is an actor, director, producer and screenwriter. Back in 2011, Forbes named him the highest-paid man in the entertainment industry, when he earned $130 million over the course of 12 months. More recently, Perry was included in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020.
Oprah Winfrey
He chose a fully-customized Gulfstream III to fly him wherever he needs to go. One of the unique features of Perry’s jet is the screening room, so he can work on the fly, pun intended. It contains a 42-inch HD LCD screen TV, satellite TV, theater lighting and Blu-ray players.
HARPO, Winfrey’s production company, bought her the custom-built Global Express XRS jet for a whopping $42 million. Considering that Oprah is worth more than $2 billion thanks in part to her long-time TV show and various other brands she started or is associated with, the plane purchase didn’t break the bank.
Bill Gates
The plane was designed by Bombardier Aerospace as a premier long-range business jet. It was customized with an enhanced cabin layout, nine leather chairs, aesthetically-placed lights and more luxury amenities. The jet has two Rolls-Royce BR710 turbofan engines, which produce a ton of power.
The quirky king of Microsoft has so much money that he doesn’t know what to do with it. One of the investments he made was in a personal plane. He has a personalized Bombardier BD-700 Global Express that cost $40 million. While the plane is actually owned by a limited liability company, it’s on Bill’s behalf. It carries up to eight passengers and can cruise at over 50,000 feet.
Beyoncé & Jay Z
The plane can travel at the speed of sound, also known as Mach 1. It’s equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion technology, which limits errors and provides precision navigation for the most efficient flights. It’s one of the most luxurious aircrafts in the world.
Beyoncé sure does spoil when it comes to gifts. To thank and reward fellow musical artist and parent Jay Z for being a great dad to their daughter Blue Ivy, she dropped $40 million on an airplane for the family. Now, the king and queen of hip hop travel in style wherever they fly to and from.
George Clooney & Rande Gerber
The make and model of the plane is a Bombardier Challenger 850 Learjet. It can accommodate 15 people and is customized with some serious luxuries. There’s a full kitchen, master bedroom, two bathrooms and a living room that has leather seats among other beautiful furniture.
Supermodel Cindy Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber, flew her to a tropical location for her 50th birthday. They flew on his and George Clooney’s private jet. Gerber made his fortune in the restaurant industry. Crawford shares photos and videos of her trips on social media with friends like Clooney and his wife Amal.
John Travolta
In 2012, Clooney and Gerber actually started a tequila company together. The brand is called Casamigos and the jet is often referred to by that name, too. The two often utilize the plane for both business and pleasure purposes, as Crawford likes to flaunt.
Travolta has built himself quite a fortune over the decades. Perhaps known best for his role in Grease, the actor has poured a lot of cash into a personal airplane collection. He got his pilot’s license at age 22. Since then, he has been certified to fly commercial planes. John was even named an honorary pilot of the Australian airline Qantas.
Harrison Ford
Today, he owns seven planes. Some of his aircrafts include a Boeing 707, Boeing 727 and Bombardier Challenger 601. Many of them are parked in hangars right next to his house in central Florida. He has his own runway adjacent to his estate to get away whenever he wants.
Like Travolta, Ford has been raking in the cash for a very long time. Known best for his recurring roles in action films Star Wars and Indiana Jones, he’s also a licensed pilot who loves to go on adventures in real life, too. Harrison is the owner of several planes.
Jackie Chan
Just to name a couple, he owns a CJ3 Citation jet and Cessna 525B. He even owns a helicopter, too. Ford has been called a very attentive and good pilot by those lucky enough to fly with him. He has shared his love of aviation with kids through an association.
Chan is known for not only his acting and martial arts, but also for performing his own stunts, which not a lot of people in Hollywood do. He has made his fortune thanks to his work in both Asia and America. He has appeared in more than 150 films, with one of them being the Rush Hour series.
Jim Carrey
He owns an Embraer Legacy 650 plane for business and leisure purposes. It cost him approximately $30 million. His plane of choice may have something to do with the fact that he’s the brand ambassador for Embraer. The plane even has dragons and Jackie’s logo on the exterior, so it’s hard to miss.
Carrey first got into the spotlight from his hilarious impressions and body movements during his standup acts. He was able to use his skills from that as a foundation to launch an incredibly successful comedic acting career. Some of his top movies are Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Dumb and Dumber, The Mask and The Truman Show.
Conor McGregor
He owns a Gulfstream V that cost him $59 million. It seats up to 16 people and can still travel at the speed of sound. The jet is also known for its safety features, not just for its speed. For those with some spare change, Carrey has made his jet available for private charter.
Similar to Mayweather, McGregor has gone back and forth from active fighting and retirement. He recently came back in early 2021 only to get beaten badly in a rematch with Dustin Poirier. While McGregor specializes in MMA fighting, he and Mayweather even boxed once, which earned them both millions of dollars.
Jeff Bezos
McGregor has his own plane, too. He posts pictures of himself flying in his private jet on social media and isn’t afraid to flaunt his wealth. A watch with more than 500 diamonds worth $1 million was recently seen on his wrist. His private plane has cream-colored leather seats and a large dining table for his family to enjoy while they travel.
The richest man in the United States, Jeff Bezos, famously decided he needed to go to space in 2021. The man synonymous with making Amazon a staple in millions of homes naturally has a several private jets, because with a net worth of about $177 billion, of course he has more than one. He has two Gulfstream G650ERs, which usually go for a base price of about $70 million.
He stores his jets in a hangar just south of Seattle, where Amazon headquarters is. Even the hangar cost $5.5 million just to buy it. Each of Bezos’ planes can seat up to 19 passengers and 2 crew members, with each seat being able to convert into a bed. Stocked with collapsible panel-tables, a TV console that is in the middle of the cabin, and a divan couch, his jet is nicer than most people’s living rooms.
Taylor Swift
The pandemic has put a pause on her world tours, but Swift has used her extra time to turn out two albums in a single year. She started out as a cute little country girl and has grown up into a pop queen. With an estimated net worth of around $400 million, she has money to burn on whatever she pleases.
While she’s not currently flying all over on a strict concert schedule, she may be using her $40 million jet to visit her boyfriend Joe Alwyn in London. The jet seats 12 passengers and has the number 13 on the front of it. Considered by many to be an unlucky number, 13 is actually Swift’s favorite.
Lady Gaga
Another pop queen, Lady Gaga drops hit after hit for her fans. She’s known for her consistent image reinventions and versatility in both the music and entertainment industries. In fact, she performed at a Super Bowl and played a lead role in the movie A Star Is Born alongside Bradley Cooper.
She owns a Boeing 757, which was gifted to her by Live Nation, a company that promotes, operates and manages ticket sales for live entertainment globally. Gaga often posts on social media while in transit. She sometimes catches up on her beauty routines while flying above the clouds. In example, she has posted photos wearing a fur coat with a blue gel face mask on from her plane.
Angelina Jolie
An actress, philanthropist and mother to six kids, Jolie has a lot on her plate. She has been a mainstay in Hollywood for decades, starring in movies like Maleficent, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Tomb Raider and Girl, Interrupted. Her charity work includes teaming up with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Jolie has a pilot’s license and owns a Cirrus SR22. The plane only cost her approximately $600,000, which is super cheap compared to most of the other planes on this list. The best feature of the plane is that it can automatically coordinate an emergency landing, if necessary.
Celine Dion
The Canadian singer has won multiple Grammys and is responsible for a slew of chart-topping hits. She’s worth more than $800 million. While Oprah’s got her beat in that department, a $42 million purchase of the Bombardier BD 700 Global Express didn’t hurt her in the finance department too bad, either.
Not only does Celine own the plane, but she also owns gorgeous estates all over the world and performs regularly in Vegas these days. To get from place to place in comfort and style, her plane has a kitchen, multiple bathrooms and a lot of space to stretch out and enjoy.
Kim Kardashian
Whether you kept up with the Kardashians or not, you know who they are. The family is full of multi-millionaires made from reality shows, beauty products, modeling and more. Kim is the second-oldest of her siblings, with Kourtney being the oldest. Khloe and Rob are her younger siblings and she’s half-sisters with Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Kim had been traveling for many years via rented private jets for her vacations. She finally decided that owning was better than renting and invested in her own private jet. It has a bedroom and bathroom, which makes it far less stressful to travel and far easier to get her beauty sleep and go through her beauty routine.
Michael Jordan
Widely considered the greatest basketball player to ever play in the NBA, Jordan’s trophy closet, and list of awards and accolades is ridiculous. To think that he left for baseball after winning three NBA titles in a row, only to return and win another three NBA titles in a row, is a true indicator of his greatness. Currently, he’s the principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA and 23XI Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. He’s got a moneymaker shoe brand in ‘Jordan,’ too.
With so much money and so much going on in his life, it should come as no surprise that Jordan has a pretty sweet plane. He has had the jet painted twice over time with some eye-catching details. The first exterior was customized with his favorite Carolina blue from his college days at the University of North Carolina and his Air Jordan dunk graphic. In 2017, he went with a white and gray camo wrap and dark gray Air Jordan logo.
Alex Rodriguez
Rodriguez played out a controversial, yet entertaining career in the MLB. While performance-enhancing drugs dampened his legacy like several other big-name baseball players, he still climbed the record books and brought fans to the ballpark. In 2000, he signed the biggest sports contract in history at the time, when he agreed to terms on a 10-year, $250 million contract with the Texas Rangers.
In 2017, the former player was spotted in a brand new jet. He already had a LearJet 60, but he had upgraded to a Gulfstream IV, the same model owned by Tom Cruise. The bigger plane sits 14 and allows A-Rod and his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez to fly further, with twice the mileage capacity.
Magic Johnson
Johnson could give Jordan a run for his money when it comes to NBA greatness. While Jordan is synonymous with the Chicago Bulls, Johnson is a Los Angeles Laker through and through. The two battled it out for years and even played together on the 1992 USA Olympic Dream Team. Johnson won five NBA titles and was the president of basketball operations for the Lakers after retiring as a player.
His plane has landed him in some trouble, though. One of his flight attendants filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination in 2012. She claimed she was fired because she was seven minutes late to work. That was because she had to wait at the deli for Johnson’s special turkey sandwich to be made.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
“Money Mayweather” is the perfect nickname for this boxer. Hopping in and out of retirement to collect hefty paychecks enables him to live lavishly while still staying relevant in the sports world. He’s often referred to as the best defensive boxer in history, as well as being the most accurate puncher. Being able to avoid taking big hits likely led to his career longevity.
Floyd owns two multi-million dollar private planes. One of them is a Gulfstream III, which are offered for sale at around $34 million, although the exact price he paid is unknown. The interior in of his jets has white leather seats and a kitchen with gold handles and faucets.
Mark Cuban
Cuban is another entrepreneur who made it big. He’s the owner of the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA and serves as a chairman of HDTV. Many also recognize him from the TV show Shark Tank, where he offers his opinion and potentially even invests in other entrepreneurs.
Mark owns a Boeing 767-277, which cost nearly $150 million in 1999. In fact, he received a Guinness World Record for the largest single e-commerce transaction at the time. The private jet has accommodations for extra people to fly comfortably. That’s important to him, as his large and lengthy basketball players frequent the plane and need more space than the average person.
Fleetwood Mac
The band has had a recent revival in popularity thanks to a viral video of a man riding a skateboard while drinking fruit juice with Fleetwood Mac playing in the background. Fleetwood Mac also owned a plane in the 1970’s. Even though accidents piled up on chartered private plans during this era, many musicians and other celebrities continued to utilize them regularly.
In 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s plane crashed and killed three of the band members. Aerosmith bandmate Joe Perry recalled that his band was going to charter that same plane, but ultimately changed their plans. He said they were incredibly lucky and it was quite common to fly on a plane that a band like Fleetwood Mac had been on the week prior.
Cameron Crowe
Crowe is a director, producer, screenwriter, journalist, author and actor. Prior to moving into the film industry, he was a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine, for which he still writes. Like others in the music industry in the 1970’s, Crowe had some bad experiences on private planes, but he still bought his own.
He told Rolling Stone that in 1973, he had a scary flight experience while covering the Who tour. Another bad experience occurred while following Heart on a tour. In both occasions, he flew in private planes through scary storms and thought he may end up dead.
Steven Spielberg
Spielberg has directed, produced and screen written dozens of award-winning and classic movies during his career. Some of the most famous films associated with his name are Jaws, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and ET. He decided to spoil himself with his own private aircraft.
His choice was the Bombardier Global Express XRS. Oddly enough, Oprah and Celine Dion, who are next on this list, also own the same model of plane. Bill Gates is also part of that club. Apparently they have similar taste. This model can travel for up to 16 hours before needing to be grounded for fuel. It can hold 14 passengers in its spacious interior.
Sergey Brin & Larry Page
These two are responsible for creating Google, the most famous search engine on the planet. Google is worth more than a trillion dollars, making Brin and Page worth quite a lot themselves. Not only is Google the proud owner of invaluable technology, but the parent company also owns a ton of real estate in some of the most sought-after places.
Both Brin and Page have a Boeing 757-200. The luxury plane is known fittingly as one of the Google Jets. Onboard, there is a dining area and steam room. It can host 50 people and has 15 first-class seats for the luckiest of travelers. This Google Jet is worth approximately $25 million.
Bobby Sherman
Sherman was a teen pop star back in the 1960’s. In 1973, he decided to buy a Boeing 720B and named it The Starship. Thereafter, the private plane transported some of the biggest names in the industry. Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Bee Gees are only some of the celebrities who flew on Bobby’s plane.
It was customized with an electric organ, king-size waterbed, fireplace and 30-foot bar. It was the ultimate party in the sky. Unfortunately, the party didn’t last very long. In 1982, the plane was scrapped for parts, but is fondly remembered in the memoirs of several famous figures.
Rupert Murdoch
Murdoch is best known for being the chairman of 21st Century Fox and News Corp. Through News Corp, he owns hundreds of local, national and international publishing outlets. With great wealth comes extremely nice things and Murdoch is yet another example of that.
He travels in style with a Boeing Business 737 plane. It has enough space and power to transport up to 50 passengers from place to place. Some amenities include a master bedroom, conference area and living area. There’s also a washroom and bathroom, of course.
Wayne Huizenga
If you’re not familiar with Huizenga, simply put, he’s an entrepreneur. Initially, he owned a waste management business. He eventually became the owner of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, but he now has a minority interest in the franchise. He’s part of the ownership group of Hard Rock Stadium, too, which is where the Dolphins play. The stadium also hosts other events like concerts and college football.
Huizenga is the proud owner of a de Havilland Canada DHC-6-320 Twin Otter. It’s fitting from the name that this plane has propellers on both wings. It’s capable of carrying just under 20 people and has the ability to land on rough and uneven runways.
Gautam Singhania
Singhania is another man with a name that not everybody may know, but he’s a billionaire nonetheless. He has built his fortune in the fabric industry. He’s a chairman of the Raymond Group, which is the largest producer of suiting fabric in the entire world.
He’s known in India for his love of fast cars, boats and planes. Singhania is the owner of a Bombardier Challenger 600 Series jet. The jet was designed by Eric Roth, a well-known interior designer of aircraft interiors. The jet cost Singhania a cool $25 million.
Roman Abramovich
Hailing from Lithuania, Abramovich is yet another businessman and entrepreneur who is living the lush life. He’s the primary owner of an investment company called Millhouse Capital. In addition to owning that company, he owns the Chelsea Football Club. All in all, he has a net worth of at least $12 billion.
With so much money, Abramovich has to travel in style. He’s the owner of a Boeing 767-33A. His plane’s interior is made out of chestnut and adorned fittingly with pure gold. The jet spends a lot of time in the United Kingdom, which makes sense considering that’s where Millhouse Capital and his professional soccer team are based.
Phil Mickelson
Mickelson competes with Tiger Woods on the links and may also compete with him when it comes to aircrafts. He has won 44 events on the PGA Tour, including five major championships. They both own some beautiful and expensive planes, too. Not to be outdone by Tiger when it comes to price, Mickelson reportedly shelled out $60 million for his Gulfstream V.
He customized it with powerful Rolls-Royce engines and also paid extra for superior technology in the cockpit. It sits 14 people in its luxurious interior. There’s a galley and bar onboard, which makes flying a whole lot more entertaining and those long flights easier to handle.
Al Mooney
Mooney, who passed away in 1986, was a self-taught aircraft designer and early aviation entrepreneur. Al and his brother founded the Mooney Aircraft Company way back in 1929. His first production design was the Mooney M-18 Mite, which initially flew in 1947.
An innovator in the field of aviation, it makes sense that he created his own line of private jets, the Mooney M20. This model has the nickname of The Mooney Bravo. These jets debuted in 1955 and are still produced to this day. They currently retail for around $1.5 million.
Hugh Hefner
Prior to his passing, the king of Playboy was known for never wanting to be inconvenienced. He wanted to do things his way and valued his comfort and privacy. He got the idea to buy himself a plane after going to London and deciding he wanted to visit there more often.
Hefner bought a jet in the late 1960’s and named it Big Bunny. He even had the Playboy logo placed on the tail of the plane. It supposedly cost him approximately $5 million. Hefner got his money’s worth and used the jet to fly around the world for business and pleasure.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Schwarzenegger has accomplished a lot during his lifetime. He started out as a bodybuilder and used that to launch an acting career. Some of his best rated films include The Terminator, Total Recall and Predator. Later, he dabbled in politics and even became the governor of California.
He actually rubbed some people the wrong way when he decided to use his Gulfstream jet as a way to commute while governor. His home was in Brentwood, which is a suburb of Los Angeles. If you know your geography, the capital of California is Sacramento, which is hundreds of miles north. Critics complained that his political position against oil was hypocritical when he flew to work every day.
Donald Trump
The 45th president of the United States had quite a bumpy ride during his four years in the oval office, but he surely has a smooth and relaxing experience in his private plane. Trump has owned his luxury business jet for over 20 years. He requested major renovations before buying the jet from Paul Allen, a Microsoft co-founder.
The 23-carat gold leaf Trump logo on the side of his Boeing 727 is a hint at the plane’s luxury. He added leather armchairs, personal TVs, crystal lamps and gold-plated seatbelt buckles. It features a VIP conference room, lounge, master bedroom, guest bedroom and dining room. More than 30 people can fly comfortably in Trump’s plane.
Sol Kerzner
As Donald Trump is to America, Kerzner was to South Africa. He was the face of a casino and hotel empire, as he founded both of South Africa’s largest hotel groups. He was also the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Kerzner International. His estimated net worth was north of $600 million built over more than 45 years in business.
He was known to rack up a ton of mileage on his jet, reportedly flying 158 hours in a single month. However, his private jet wasn’t big enough for his 50th birthday party. For that, he had a plane that took 150 of his friends to his hotel and casino in Mauritius.
Paul McCartney
McCartney has been traveling by private plane since the 1960’s when The Beatles were taking the world by storm with their catchy tunes. Even after branching off on his own, his tours always included plenty of stops. Also, McCartney regularly travels back and forth from the United Kingdom to the United States.
Outside of privacy and comfort, McCartney also likes having his own plane because he takes a bunch of stuff with him on his trips to begin with and also enjoys buying other stuff while out and about. In 2016 when he arrived back in the United States, McCartney’s assistants were seen carrying out valuable instruments and bottles of wine he had brought back with him.
Elvis Presley
One of The King’s private jets sat on a runway in New Mexico for 35 years before finally being sold at auction for $430,000 to an undisclosed buyer. The plane was actually personally designed by Presley. It had gold-tone woodwork, red velvet seats and a red shag carpet. When sold, the plane didn’t even have an engine. It also needed repairs and renovations in the cockpit.
Presley also had a Convair 880 in his arsenal, since maneuvering through crowds at a public airport was too much of a hassle for the star to fly commercial. He named this other plane after his daughter, Lisa Marie. Convair jets usually seated more than 100 people, but Elvis’ customized plane only seated 28.
Jimmy Buffett
Another famous musician, Buffett’s songs typically focus on islands and escapism. A perfect example is Margaritaville, one of his most popular songs. Buffett needs to get away to some of the places he makes sound so good in his music. He does so with his own private plane that he bought back in 1990.
Buffett has a Grumman HU-16 Albatross. It’s a former military plane that’s an amphibian aircraft. He dubbed it The Hemisphere Dancer. One of his craziest experiences on the plane occurred in 1996 when he escaped from Jamaican police, who though he had drugs on his plane. They shot at him as he retreated.
Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah
His name is a mouthful, so just call him the Sultan of Brunei. He’s the 29th and current Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan and the Prime Minister. Also, he’s one of the last absolute monarchs in the world. The Sultan of Brunei is a title that has been held and handed down for generations dating back to the 1300’s.
Estimated to be worth $20 billion, the Sultan owns a Boeing 747-430. The spacious jet has its own special interior. It includes wash basins made of solid gold, which is fitting for royalty. The $100 million price tag is ridiculous to think about, but he probably didn’t even bat an eye.
Neymar
Neymar joins David Beckham as one of likely only a select few soccer players to have their own luxury planes. He’s from Brazil and plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. He’s currently widely regarded as one of the best players in the world.
The star owns a private jet worth 10 million euros, which equates to around $12 million. His initials are engraved on the tail of the plane, too. Neymar’s plane can carry 12 people and reaches a top speed of 890 kilometers per hour. For those who’d appreciate another conversion, that’s over 550 miles per hour.
Elizabeth Taylor
Taylor passed away in 2011, but she had ties to planes throughout her life. The famous actress was married to Richard Burton, also an actor, from 1964 to 1974. They then reunited for one more try a year later, but it ultimately didn’t work out. During their time together, Burton bought a new plane they flew in together for Elizabeth.
Prior to her relationship with Burton, Taylor was married to film producer Mike Todd. Tragically, he died in his private plane when it crashed in 1958. The plane was named The Liz after her. Obviously that accident didn’t deter her from flying later in life, although it must’ve been hard for her at first.
Morgan Freeman
Freeman may be known more for his voice than his acting. The legendary actor has an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award to his name. Some of his most famous films where he had major roles include Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven and Invictus.
He has his own plane and is a licensed pilot, too. Freeman’s Syberjet SJ30 cost him approximately $8 million and seats up to six people. It’s known as the fastest lightweight jet and is very fuel-efficient, too. In 2015, he had an accident with his private jet because a tire burst during takeoff, but it didn’t damper his love for aviation.
The New England Patriots
Thanks to the dynasty that developed over the past couple decades in the NFL, the New England Patriots made team owner Robert Kraft a ton of money. The franchise has won six Super Bowls since 2002. To reward the players and coaches, he bought a Boeing 767 in August 2017. In fact, Kraft actually bought two Boeings for the franchise.
Before the purchases, the players sat on coach seats on domestic planes. Kraft got the widest and largest seats possible to transport his staff and players comfortably. To accommodate the taller players with long legs, five inches of legroom was added beyond what a typical first-class seat has.
