The Classic Cruiser
There are times that a car zips past you and it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen so far. By the look of its design, color and overall unique style, you can just tell that a car is custom built. It stands out from the crowd, just as its owner intends.
Automakers strive to design good-looking cars, functional, as well as new models, with better motors, new looks and other variations. However, there is nothing like taking your new car or old one to a professional mechanic shop and modify that baby to fit your personality. Here are some of the most amazing custom cars in the world, and they’ve been created by auto artisans from all over the world.
Mulholland Speedster
Take an old car like this 1940s Packard or a 1950s Bel Air and turn it into an ultimate cruiser. This beast is fully customized, coming with flames, chrome and a dome.
It has a split window in the front, and we love it! And if hot rods are not your thing, check out this next famous “Reactor” that was completed in 1965, and still makes the top charts.
The Mustang
Have you ever seen a more beautiful roadster than this 1936 Packard? It was heavily modified by Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hot Rods. The V12 and disappearing top really made Bruce Wanta – the owner, the happy winner of the “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster” and “Custom d’Elegance” titles in recent years, at the famous 67th Sacramento Autorama.
Hold your 400 horses for this next bad boy…
“The Galaxy” – Paradise Road
One of the iconic American muscle cars, this Ford Mustang flashback to the 60s makes us want to gently pat the matte hood, look at those 400 horse underneath and then jump inside the vehicle, and hit the streets. This car is ready to win any race, and very popular among those who modify cars. However, this mod is impressive!
Now let’s go through the next photos, and you can return here, for a second look.
The Reactor
A Japanese auto shop called Paradise Road has created this beauty they call “The Galaxy.” It’s a 1928 Ford Model T underneath, distorted and finished with this sleek paint job. Its price tag is $1 million, but it’s all worth it. Junichi Shimodaira is the auto artisan who built this Galaxy twice – the first version was topless! What’s great about this car is that it reflects the builder’s character.
Talking about character…
Porsche 935 DPIII
This baby was a classic Citroën DS once upon a time. It was quite famous back in the 60s, appearing in a bunch of iconic shows, such as Bewitched, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible and Batman. Gene Winfield built the vehicle by hand, and it has an aluminum chassis.
It has a flat six engine, which allowed it to have a low center of gravity and that aerodynamic look. For a car completed in 1965, this innovative piece of art still has style, even nearly sixty years later.
1964 Orbitron
DP Motorsport transforms Porsche cars into dream cars, and this Porsche 935 DPIII looks amazing. It has a 1992 Porsche 965 Turbo, a 3.3-liter engine and a new stainless steel exhaust system that will make you squeak like a happy toddler.
The engine can produce 450 horses, and it comes with adjustable sports suspensions, an adjustable strut brace, and new reconfigured wheels. Now let’s talk about the Orbitron…
Fiat 500 Abarth
It began as a futuristic drag racer when Ed “Big Daddy” Roth created the Orbitron in 1964. It has a plastic bubble top, and the front sports three lights: red, green and blue, which together project a beam of white light – we told you: futuristic!
Probably the less pleasant thing about this weird vehicle is that the interior is lined with baby blue faux fur – comfy, but far from being manly, like this Police car at #10. Yes, we said POLICE CAR!
Blastolene B702
The Fiat 500 Abarth looked mean straight from the factory, but what the guys at Pogea Racing did with this baby is unbelievable! It looks mean, all dressed in black.
And the looks are nothing compared to what this hatchback packs under the hood: 405 horsepower and 328 pound-feet of torque to make you run wild. This next vehicle is for the ones that just want to relax and take in the sun and the view.
Dodge Charger
It’s classy, it’s old and futuristic, and it’s what Jay Leno would buy. The design was made by his favorite car tuner Randy Grubb, and it has a hand-shaped aluminum body, leather interiors, and a blue glass grill.
The midnight blue paint job is to die for. Not into this car? Don’t worry, we’ve got eleven more rides to show you, and prepare for some weird surprises like this one at #6.
Nissan GT-R Police Pursuit
This light-framed Dodge Charger with a carbon fiber exterior and a powerful engine will make you fly, says the lead builder at Mercury Marine, David Salvaggio: “The load of an engine from extreme throttling in and out of the water with a boat… is more abuse than any car could ever put on the engine.”
We got the right Police car to stop you in your tracks. Here she is…
The Monster
The “Copzilla” was actually modified by none others than the automaker Nissan. They created their powerful vehicle with a new body kit, 20-inch aluminum wheels.
It’s also equipped with so much speed that nobody would be able to outrun the cops now. And not even the bad guys would want to hurt this beauty!
Dodge Deora
We called this “The Monster” because it was made with very interesting parts: it has an Audi TT cabin, it’s powered by Corvette, it has fenders from a 1937 Chevy and many other parts from different cars.
MJC Classic Cars worked on this beauty for 250 days and turned it into a French classic painted in metallic gold. Under the hood, it has a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 engine.
Cadillac Sophia
Mike and Larry Alexander created the 1965 Dodge Deora, and it became one of the most famous custom cars in the world.
This Deora was so famous in 1968 when it first got introduced that Hot Wheels made it a toy car! Who wouldn’t go crazy over a front-loading pickup truck?
Cherry on Top of the Ice Cream Truck
This custom Cadillac was named Cadillac Sophia for the stunning Italian actress Sophia Loren. It is a John D’Agostino 1940 Cadillac Series 62 coupe.
This beauty has a white and mint interior made of leather, a fancy steering wheel made of “Mother of Pearl” plastic, and is as voluptuous as the Italian film actress and singer.
The Jaguar
This 1963 ice cream truck looks amazing after the tattoo artist Mister Cartoon spray-painted it. The artist is quite proud of his very unique truck.
He said in an interview once that the vehicle is his “own version of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory meets the ‘hood.'” We can only wonder what’s under that hood now…
Porsche 911 Turbo Carbon Edition
When you say customized Jaguars, you say Eagle, a British company that has been revamping these babies for the last three decades.
This special car took the team about 4,000 hours to create and make just right, but as you can see, it was all worth it!
Prior Design Tesla Model S
The Porche 911 needs no other description: it’s an all- carbon-fiber-car made by the German shop TopCar. It’s a thing of beauty.
They peeled all the metal off the car and dressed it in full carbon. Oh, and they also added a 650-hp engine just for good measure.
Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe
Let’s check out the “mean and green” car from Tesla and give it some love. This design received a Prior Design body kit, which means a new front bumper, a spoiler lip and a spoiler on the rear and some new awesome 21-inch PD5 alloy wheels.
The Hot Rod
That Chrome orange exterior steals everyone’s attention. Fostla turned the German coupe into a beast after they also pumped into more horsepower than what the factory gave: 730 hp compared to 577 hp.
We’ve finally gotten to it. It’s time to check out the last and craziest custom car ever made…
“Let’s make a car from a WWII Lockheed fighter jet, I’ll bring the engine, and you get the wheels” – said no one ever…?
That’s what recycling really means! This hot rod kept the original paint job, has 18-inch wheels from a milk truck and a 1932 Ford engine.
