Golf is one of the most popular sports in the world, and also one of the most expensive. Buying the gear and paying for green fees can add up fast. While some courses are very reasonably priced, especially if you’re playing Twilight on a weekday, others are only options for those with deep pockets. Many golf courses around the world have fees that cross the hundred-dollar threshold by a very long shot.
A lot of these courses charge a lot for various reasons. Some have beautiful views, while others have perfectly maintained playing terrains and nice weather. These are what are commonly known as bucket-list-courses for golf fans, many of whom don’t mind forking over a lot of money for the experience…
All five of the championship golf courses at the PGA National Golf Club have been updated with new turf, rebuilt bunkers, and expanded tee and green complexes. The resort hosts the Honda Classic golf tournament on the Champion course each spring, with the 2020 tournament won by 21-year-old Sungjae Im.
Spyglass Hill Golf Course – California, United States
Anybody who wants to play a round or more of golf there needs to stay at the resort, so the bill can add up fast. Green fees can go for as much as $650 during the peak season, but there are package deals at the resort that include golf for a lower price.
This course is located near several other iconic courses like Pebble Beach and Spanish Hill along the coast. Spyglass Hill Golf Course got its name from the book Treasure Island. Author Robert Louis Stevenson spent time in the area in the later part of the 1800s.
Cascata Club – Nevada, United States
Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the course and was inspired by this. The holes are even named after the pirates in the book, such as “Billy Bones” and “Black Dog.” The course is known for having some of the best views in the whole world. It’s also extremely challenging, even for the best of the best. Green fees are around $370.
Cascata Club is often overlooked for other courses in the area, but anybody who plays golf wouldn’t regret choosing to play there. To those who follow golf, this course is one of the best there is and the surrounding scenery is gorgeous. Waterfalls are quite common there, which makes sense since the word “cascata” translates to “waterfall” from Italian.
The Ocean Course – South Carolina, United States
Tucked away in rugged hills and located just outside of Boulder City, Cascata Club is southeast of Las Vegas, but only a 30 minute drive from The Strip. It should also come as no surprise due to the name of the city that the course is surrounded by boulders. Rates can creep into the $400’s.
The Ocean Course was designed with the wind in mind. The layout takes advantage of the direction of the wind to make each hole more challenging. It’s deemed as one of the toughest courses in the entire country. While the game could be difficult, at least there are beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Whistling Straits – Wisconsin, United States
Several professional golf tournaments such as the PGA Professional National Championship in 2005 and the Ryder Cup have taken place at the Ocean Course. It runs approximately $230 per person to get in a challenging yet memorable round at this famous golf course.
Whistling Straits is made up of two different courses called the Straits and the Irish. Each one was designed by Pete Dye and they’re known to be two of the best courses in the country. Whistling Straits has hosted several golf events such as the 2010 PGA Championships and the Palmer Cup.
Kingsbarns Golf Links – St. Andrews, Scotland
The courses run along two miles of the Lake Michigan coastline. They were created with Irish style dunes and grass to make them all the more challenging. A single round of golf there costs each person $300, plus a fee of $65 for a mandatory caddie.
Kingsbarns Golf Links is one of the best golf courses out there. It is home to various golf tournaments such as the annual Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The golf course is located on the east coast, northeast of Edinburgh, and has been operating since 1973.
The Pinehurst Course Number 2 – North Carolina, United States
It also has a resort on-site and is known for its exceptional caddy service. While there is a caddy fee, it’ll be refunded if the service isn’t up to the player’s standards, which is a reflection of Scottish hospitality. It costs around $300 for a round.
This name of the course is also the name of the city it’s located in. The 2014 US Open was hosted there, which of course means that a lot of the best golfers have played on this course. Of the astounding eight courses available to experience, numbers 2, 4 and 8 are the fan favorites.
Old Head Golf Links – County Cork, Ireland
It’s one of the most expensive golf courses in the world, too. A single round of golf at Pinehurst can cost an eye-popping $430. There’s even an additional caddie fee of $55. Sometimes, depending on the demand, the number 2 course can cost four figures. At least you can play on this course at a discounted price of $195 if you stay at the Pinehurst resort.
Old Head Golf Links is part of a resort property situated in Old Head Kinsale, which is in the south part of the country. Designed by John and Patrick O’ Conner, the course has amazing views. The course is challenging due to the layout, which uses the natural terrain.
Pebble Beach Golf Links – California, United States
After enjoying your round of golf there, you can take down a meal at the Lusitania Bar. The resort is located in close proximity to where the Lusitania ship sank back in 1916, so the Lusitania Bar has a reason for the name. Green fees are set at $400.
Pebble Beach Golf Links is one of the most iconic places there is in the world of golf and is also situated close to Spyglass Hill, another course on this list. Pebble Beach has been the host of some of the biggest golf tournaments such as the Ryder Cup and US Open. The course is surrounded by cliffs and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Hirono Golf Club – Kobe, Japan
Douglas Grant and Jack Neville designed the course, which opened in 1919. They created a layout that extends out toward the peninsula above the sea, which helps make the game more beautiful and exciting. A round of golf at Pebble Beach can cost just under $600.
Hirono Golf Club is known to have one of the most memorable courses in the whole world. It makes for a challenging, yet beautiful round due to ravines, ponds, trees and rolling, sandy terrain. Charles H. Alison designed it way back in 1932. The course was extensively restored by Martin Ebert later.
Shadow Creek Golf Course – Nevada, United States
The playing surfaces were widened and Alison’s notorious bunkering is highlighted once more. The course is surrounded by lush greenery, bringing a feeling of being in a Japanese Garden. In fact, there are gardens throughout the course, adding to its beauty. Green fees are $550.
Steve Wynn, the founder of the Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas, also owns Shadow Creek Golf Course. The course is north east of The Strip and not too far from Wynn’s resorts. The construction cost of the course is estimated at between $60-100 million.
Kiawah Island Golf Resort – South Carolina, United States
Guests who stay at one of Wynn’s resorts can take advantage of this course and can even get transported there in a limo if their pockets are deep enough. Each round will put you back $500, not to mention the caddie fee can cost you in the ballpark of $50 to $100. The course has stunning gardens and waterfalls. It’s also home to approximately 200 trees.
Straddled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Kiawah River, this golf course has hosted numerous professional tournaments. In example, the PGA Championships were held there. The course was designed by Pete and Alice Dye. It has a beautiful view of the eastern coastline.
TPC Sawgrass – Florida, United States
Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Ocean Course is known to be one of the most difficult in the world. The course length is nearly 7,900 yards, so it’s challenging and long. A fun fact is that it was featured in the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance. The price to play a round is $350 there.
TPC stands for The Tournament Players Club. TPC Sawgrass is located in Jacksonville and is best known for the 17th hole, which is a par 3 with the green surrounded by water. This course is another one known for being one of the most challenging courses in the United States.
Clearwater Bay Golf Club – Hong Kong, China
It’s ranked as the best golf course in Florida and has hosted countless tournaments like THE PLAYERS Championship. All of the best golfers from Tiger Woods to Rory McIlroy have battled it out on this course. Green fees at TPC Sawgrass go at about $375 per person.
The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club is a privately-owned course southeast of downtown Hong Kong. Every year, it hosts the PGA Tour China. It was supposed to host the World Amateur Team Championships in 2020, but it was moved to Singapore before ultimately being cancelled altogether due to the pandemic.
The Barton Creek Foothill And Canyon Golf Clubs – Texas, United States
The golf course sits up against the South China Sea. The original course design was supposedly not that great. However, the Thompson-Perrett team remodeled it to high standards. Now, there are beautiful views of the clubhouses, hotel and ocean. Membership dues can reach up to nearly $500,000.
These clubs are located in Austin, the capital of Texas. The golf courses are west of downtown and both have incredible views that include cliffs, limestone caves and waterfalls. Don’t get too awestruck by the surroundings when out there, as the courses are quite challenging, even for highly skilled players.
CordeValle Golf Club – California, United States
The Barton Creek Foothill and Canyon Golf Clubs are known in the golf community as two of the best golf courses in the Lone Star State. It costs approximately $300 per person per round, so be sure to soak in every moment while you’re out there in order to get your money’s worth.
The CordeValle Golf Club is just south of the last major city in the Bay Area, approximately 30 miles from San Jose. Constructed in 1999, the course layout stretches across more than 7,350 yards. It’s also right next to several wineries, which could be enjoyed as part of a golf trip.
Royal Melbourne – Victoria, Australia
The golf course has hosted several professional tournaments, such as the PGA Cup and the US Women’s Open. It was designed by Robert Trent and has views of vineyards, meadows, streams and oak trees across 270 acres of land. One round of golf costs $360.
Melbourne has a lot of the best golf courses on the entire continent of Australia, but the Royal Melbourne course stands out above the rest. The golf course is separated into two different parts. Its West and East courses were respectively ranked number 1 and 6 in Australia in the past. The West course is ranked in the top-seven courses in the world per both Golf Digest and Planet Golf.
French Lick – Indiana, United States
Founded 130 years ago in 1891, it’s Australia’s longest continually operating golf club. It comes as no surprise that this golf course repeatedly ranks as one of the top courses by multiple platforms for its amazing views and difficult layout. It costs around $300 to play a round at Royal Melbourne.
The town of French Lick was originally a French trading post built near a spring and salt lick, so the name makes sense. Its golf course is consistently ranked as one of the best courses in the country and the world. It’s an extremely long course at over 8,100 yards, which makes it one of the longest tracks in the United States.
Links At Spanish Bay – California, United States
The course offers amazing views. Also, each hole on the Pete Dye designed course has its own challenge, making it a bucket list destination for many avid players. To experience the course, it’ll run you more than $250, plus an additional $100 tip for your caddie.
Almost directly north of Pebble Beach Golf Course lies another famous golf course. While it’s sometimes overshadowed by the other course, the Links at Spanish Bay is quite spectacular nonetheless. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sandy Tatum and Tom Watson.
Pasatiempo Golf Club – California, United States
Similar to Pebble Beach, this course offers gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and can also be very challenging, even for great players. It sits along 17 Mile Road, which is a scenic toll road that runs along the Pacific Ocean, past mansions, golf courses and other landmarks. One round of golf at the Links at Spanish Bay costs around $300.
Located in Santa Cruz, the Pasatiempo golf course was designed by Alister MacKenzie, who created golf courses on four different continents. Some of his other designs include the Royal Melbourne in Australia and Cypress Point in the United States. Pasatiempo was his personal favorite, though, as he lived in the area until he passed away in 1934.
Adare Manor – Limerick, Ireland
While this golf course isn’t on the water, it’s still picturesque and difficult to score low. A part of the course extends onto Highway 17, which connects Santa Cruz with the Bay Area. Many who have played there have claimed it’s pretty treacherous. One round of golf can cost upwards of $250.
Adare Manor is one of the most stunning golf courses in all of Ireland. It’s situated in the interior of the country, south of Galway by a good distance. The course is home to various professional tournaments such as the Irish Open. It was designed by Tom Fazio, who has also designed Firestone Country Club West Course and Pelican Hill, among others.
Archerfield Links – East Lothian, Scotland
There are more than 120 trees on 170 acres at Adare Manor. The course has a nice blend of difficult and easy holes, making it friendlier to players at different levels. You’ll have to fork over $400 for a round, plus give a caddie tip of $80, if not more.
There are a ton of golf courses in this area and Archerfield Links, in particular, has been operating for more than 100 years. If the records are correct, the first attendant was the unnamed bowman of King Edward I. The course has always been upscale, even to this day.
The Old White Course at Greenbrier – West Virginia, United States
There are two courses onsite. One is called The Fidra and the other goes by The Dirleton. Both are 18 holes lined by pine forests and water. The Fidra goes toward the coastline and a bird sanctuary. Memberships go for over $12,300. There are some individual packages that require an up-front fee of an astounding $38,625.
The Old White Course at Greenbrier is located near the border with Virginia. It has been around since 1914 and is one of the best golf courses in the United States. The course was designed by Charles Blair, who was influenced by other golf courses in Ireland and Scotland, as he named some of the holes after those across the globe.
Wynn Golf Club – Nevada, United States
Part of the TPC network, The Old White Course has hosted professional tournaments like the FedEx Cup. The course is surrounded by beautiful and densely forested mountains. Compared to a lot of other courses on this list, it’s a steal to play there at only $150, plus an additional $75 caddie fee.
This is another golf course owned by Steve Wynn. It mysteriously shut down in 2017 and some people assumed that it was gone for good. However, after a $1.5 billion redevelopment, the Wynn Golf Club opened back up. Tom Fazio, the original designer, had added eight new holes and revamped 10 others.
Yas Links – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
The course serves as a nice break from Sin City, with lovely streams and more than 7,000 trees. It could cost $550 to play there during peak season, though, and that’s without gratuity. Luckily, the price drops to somewhere in the $300 range during the hottest months in the summer.
Approximately 6,000 acres of the Arabian Gulf coast is devoted to golf. Architect Kyle Phillips had two million cubic meters of sand removed so that he could create the Yas Links. This golf course opened in 2010 and became a highly sought-after course in the area, as it looks like an oasis in the desert.
Singapore Island Country Club – Singapore
There is both a challenging 18-hole course and a less scary 9-hole par 3 course for people of all abilities. Membership fees are estimated to be hover around nearly $19,000. One round of golf could run you more than $700, but deal finders can cut it down to a more doable $325.
Located in the heart of the island, the Singapore Island Country Club is one of the top golf courses in Asia. There are a total of six courses and two driving ranges onsite. Many of the courses were closed for redevelopment in 2019. Professional golfers from around the world make an effort to travel and compete at Singapore Island Country Club.
Address Montgomerie – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Depending on your choice of course, it’ll cost you anywhere from $140 to nearly $300 to play. Which day you play also influences the price. It may cost up to $75 more to play a full 18 holes or use a cart to get around during your game.
The Address Montgomerie resort is close to those famous palm-tree-shaped peninsulas in Dubai. Colin Montgomerie designed the course with an award-winning layout. It weaves through neighborhoods full of luxurious homes and also has a view of the impressive skyscrapers in downtown.
Madison Club – California, United States
It’s possible to stay in resort rooms that are decorated to complement the golf course. Green fees run upwards of $150 to enjoy the 200-acre course. That estimated figure doesn’t include any type of equipment rental, but you do get access to the lounge and several international restaurants.
Madison Club is out in the desert southeast of Los Angeles in a town called La Quinta. This is another course designed by Tom Fazio, who created a lush area in a rather harsh environment. The course was built in 2007 and is over 7,400 yards in length. There are great views of the surrounding mountains.
Fancourt Country Club – George, South Africa
Golf Digest ranked Madison Club as one of the top 20 clubs in California. This club demands a $200,000 initiation fee, eliminating many from becoming members simply due to cost. Those who can afford to play can enjoy custom-ordered food at the turn between the ninth and tenth holes.
Located almost directly east of Cape Town, The Fancourt Country Club has the slogan, “Living the Dream.” It’s rather fitting, if you get to experience it. There are three courses that are consistently named among Golf Digest’s top 20 rankings. The Links, a privately-owned club, is South Africa’s premier golf course.
The Bear’s Club – Florida, United States
That particular course could cost up to an absurd $2,000 for 18 holes depending on the season. Other courses there demand up to nearly $1,000. The public courses are called Montagu and Outeniqua. They both still are ranked within the top 15 golf courses in the country.
North of Miami and adjacent to a Trump golf course is The Bear’s Club. It was founded in 1999 by professional golfer Jack Nicklaus and his wife. The Golden Bear, which is the nickname of Nicklaus, inspired the club’s name. The course is over 7,150 yards and is flanked by wetlands and mature trees.
Wentworth Golf Club – Surrey, England
This course was inspired by the Melbourne Golf Club in Australia, which is another course on this list. The Bear’s Club strategically has more than 100 bunkers. The clubhouse is made of stone in a Tuscan style. A membership at The Bear’s Club costs a hefty $25,000 each year.
Wentworth Golf Club has three golf courses and is southwest of London. Several of Europe’s professional golf tournaments take place there. The precursor to the Ryder Cup was first held there in 1926. Harry Colt was the architect behind the original courses, but several other notable names have molded this place into what it is today.
East Hampton Golf Club – New York, United States
In example, Bernard Gallacher, John Jacobs and Gary Player all designed the Edinburgh course. Beijing-based Reignwood Group bought the club back in 2014 and implemented a new debenture membership structure. In 2015, a membership cost over $160,000, but they have lowered the price in recent years.

Liberty National Golf Club finally opened in 2006 after 14 grueling years of design by architect Robert E. Cupp and United States champion Tom Kite. The course is over 7,300 yards in length and cost more than $250 million to build, making it one of the most expensive golf courses in history.
The Bridge Golf Club – New York, United States
It’s located on some great real estate, though. The course sits up against the Hudson River. From some spots on the golf course, it’s possible to see both the Statue of Liberty and downtown Manhattan. Some big name members include Rudy Giuliani, Eli Manning, Phil Mickelson and Cristie Kerr. Those with memberships must pay an annual fee of $25,000.
The Bridge Golf Club is in close proximity to the East Hampton Golf Club, which is another course to make this list. It was built on a former racetrack in Long Island and was designed by Rees Jones. The course kept with the racetrack theme, as the holes follow the race track, there are crisscrossed grass designs and the clubhouses are racecar-themed.
Koganei Country Club – Tokyo, Japan
The private course cost $25 million to build, which seems like nothing compared to the $250 million that it cost to build Liberty National Golf Club, but it’s still a lot compared to most other courses. Initiation fees can go for up to $750,000, with yearly membership dues of $20,000 thereafter.
West of downtown Tokyo is one of the most expensive golf courses on the planet. Walter Hagen designed Koganei Country Club back in the 1930’s. It’s a private, members-only course, with a long wait list and steep price. Therefore, you may have to settle for pictures of the sakura-blossomed golf course on the internet.
Mission Hills Golf Club – Shenzhen, China
Golf is a very popular sport in Japan. Throughout the country, brokerage houses are employed by wealthy people in order to secure golf memberships at prestigious courses. According to the Chicago Tribune, you can only play at Koganei Country Club if you have more than $3.5 million to spend.
Mission Hills Golf Club was named in honor of the 41st World Cup of Golf, which it hosted in 1995. This course was designed by 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus. Built in 1994, it’s the first course in China to be accredited by the US PGA for major professional competitions.
Morfontaine Golf Club – Mortefontaine, France
Mission Hills’ World Cup course is widely acclaimed as one of Asia’s best golfing experiences. Perhaps that’s why they can charge an arm and a leg to play. Back at the turn of the century in 2000, membership fees “only” cost $150,000. Nowadays, the fees have increased dramatically to nearly $2 million.
The Morfontaine Golf Club, or Golf de Morfontaine in French, is northeast of Paris. It was designed by architect Tom Simpson in 1913. He converted an old polo park to an 18-hole layout. Every hole is surrounded by a pine forest, which likely keeps the noise down from a nearby amusement park.
Sunningdale Golf Club – Berkshire, England
It’s extremely difficult to become a member. Around 450 members and their guests can play, but on an invitation-only basis. The Morfontaine Golf Club keeps its pricing private, so it’s difficult to find out just how much it costs to become a member, but it surely costs a pretty penny.
Sunningdale Golf Club was founded in 1900 and offers two 18-hole golf courses. One course is called the New Course and the other goes by the Old Course. They’re very creative with their names. The club is just west of Wentworth Golf Club, which is another club to make this list.
Shanqin Bay Golf Club – Hainan, China
Part of the Old Course lines a sand belt and is known for its birch and oak trees. Like many clubs, Sunningdale requires connections to get into. In order to become a member, you first must play with a current committee member. If approved, you pay an initiation of $100,000 before $8,000 annually.
Shanqin Bay Golf Club is located on the southeast coast of Hainan Island. It stands out from the rest of China’s 400 or so golf clubs. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed this private course with the help of Wang Jun, a member of one of China’s ruling families.
Loch Lomond Golf Club – Loch Lomond, Scotland
The layout is unique compared to other courses. Shanqin Bay Golf Club winds around pretty scenery and a white sand beach. There are also tall trees that dare players to try and get around them. It has been reported that this club is meant to be a secret retreat and initiation fees cost nearly $1 million.
Long ago, Loch Lomond was actually Rossdhu Castle. Legend has it that Mary Queen of Scots wrote her love letters there way back in the 1500’s. The golf course was designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf. It’s situated in the beautiful countryside right up against a large lake.
Augusta National Golf Club – Georgia, United States
Loch Lomond is yet another one of the most exclusive clubs in Europe. If you’re lucky enough to get an opportunity to join, the initial fee is approximately $160,000. The Club offers more than 40 suites, a 7,100-yard golf course, a Georgian manor clubhouse and spa facilities. There are also other activities like boat tours.
Augusta National Golf Club is one of the most well-known clubs out there. It is home to the annual Masters Tournament and four major championships. The winner of the Masters Tournament gets the famous green jacket and each winner is awarded their jacket by the winner from the previous year.
Trump National Doral Miami – Florida, United States
Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are some of the exclusive club’s 300 members. Membership was originally male-only. As time went on, that became controversial. Finally, women were allowed to be members, too. Now both genders have the opportunity to pay a membership fee between $250,000 and $500,000.
This course has hosted the PGA Tour for nearly 60 years. It was founded by Alfred Kaskel in 1962. Prior to renovation, the course and resort had 700 hotel rooms in 10 different lodges, four golf courses and over 86,000 square feet of meeting space. It also had a nearly 25,000 square foot ballroom, retail areas and a private clubhouse.
Trump National Golf Club Bedminster – New Jersey, United States
There are 90 total holes and a resort spread out across 800 acres of land. Greg Norman designed the 7,510 yard signature Blue Monster course. The Trump Organization bought the golf course and resort in 2012, which led to the name change from Doral Resort and Spa. After the purchase, $250 million was spent to renovate everything and golf could cost you $450 now.
Trump National Golf Club is an ultimate luxury golf experience and is only an hour away from New York City. The New and Old courses are both designed by Tom Fazio. They’re ranked and recognized by several golf publications and host major championships for men, women and amateurs.
TPC Scottsdale – Arizona, United States
Outside of golf, the club hosts lots of weddings and events. It has a handful of restaurants and hotels, as well as a state-of-the-art golf academy. Additionally, there are tennis, pool and fitness facilities for members. The initiation fee is estimated to hover around $200,000.
TPC Scottsdale is located in the far north part of the Phoenix MSA. It is home to the Waste Management Open, one of the most unique PGA events. Rather than being quiet until after a player swings, fans at parts of this event can be as loud as they want, breaking traditional golf etiquette.
Harbour Town Golf Links – South Carolina, United States
Since it’s in the middle of the desert, green fees are volatile to say the least. Scottsdale is known as America’s winter golf capital, so prices soar during that season. If you’re looking to score a deal, the best time to go is when it’s extremely hot. However, if you want to experience the full stadium setup during prime time, it’ll cost around $500.
The Sea Pines Resort is home to three courses set amid scenic Lowcountry landscapes. Harbour Town Golf Links is one of them. It hosts the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, which is South Carolina’s only PGA tour event. The course is located on the interior side of an island off the east coast and there’s a view of a famous candy-cane-striped lighthouse.
Manele Golf Course – Hawaii, United States
Similar to most golf courses, timing is everything when it comes to green fees. You could save by planning your trip during the off-season for as little as $250 or so. There are package deals if you stay at the resort, too. However, full price during peak season could burn you for $425.
Built on lava outcroppings, this Jack Nicklaus-signature course features three holes perched on cliffs and uses the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard. The course has a five-tee concept that challenges the best golfers and novice players alike, while all golfers can take in the incredible views and feel the sea breeze.
TPC San Antonio – Texas, United States
Course access is exclusively available to Four Seasons Resort guests, though. Room rates never dip below $1,000 per night, so you better have deep pockets and plan much more than just golf for your trip. Once you pay for however many nights, you’ll also have to give up $350 to experience Manele.
There are two courses here: The Oaks and The Canyons. The Oaks is the more expensive one, so we’ll focus on that. Designed by Greg Norman, he consulted with player Sergio Garcia in the process. This tournament-friendly course plays host to the Valero Texas Open each year.
The Links At St Andrews – Scotland, United Kingdom
The par-72 course is 7,435 yards in length. Almost all of the grass is some type of Bermuda, except for the outer corridors, which are grasses native to Texas. They combine for a visually-pleasing and top-grade golf course. On average, it costs around $325 to play at The Oaks course at TPC San Antonio.
Considered by many as the “home” of golf, St Andrews is quite the spectacle. Golf has been played there dating back to the 15th century. The exclusivity and waiting list illustrate just how difficult it is to play 18 holes on the Links at St Andrews.
Membership is by invitation only and there are only around 2,400 members worldwide. There are currently seven courses there. If you manage to snag a tee time, be prepared to drop around $275 to play the Old course between April and October. The other courses are cheaper, but not as coveted.
